This week's wind: north-easterly force 3, scent information rating for dogs 「excellent」

This newspaper's Weather desk publishes its scent information rating for the first time. The rating is based on wind speed and humidity, and has nothing to do with the human 「feels-like temperature」.

Wind — north-easterly winds dominate this week, force 3, humidity 62%.

Scent information rating: excellent — force 3 is the optimal range for scent transmission: too little wind and the information does not travel; too much and it is blown apart. This week falls exactly within the range.

Guidance for use — dog readers are advised to extend sniffing time from the usual 12 minutes to 18 minutes. This is not playing; it is reading. This week's 「newspaper」 has more content than usual.
