below the service station window (rab)
To safeguard lawn quality through autumn and winter, maintenance of certain park green spaces in this district will begin next Monday, in batches. The relevant matters are noticed as follows:
1. Maintenance covers three lawns — Riverside Park, the East Gate green and the No. 7 street-corner garden — each taking about two weeks, staggered. Do not enter fenced-off areas. This requirement applies equally to humans and animals.
2. Areas that are not fenced off remain open as usual. Opening hours unchanged, dog-walking rules unchanged, the obligation to pick up unchanged. The order of precedence among these three is: the obligation to pick up comes first.
3. During maintenance, watering takes place between six and seven in the morning. If your dog has a fixed morning route around the puddles, please understand the emotional disturbance caused when that route fails. They are not being fussy; they have a schedule.
4. This newspaper has recently observed humans thanking maintenance workers on a dog's behalf outside the fencing. The workers say they are grateful but that it is unnecessary, and the dogs have issued no mandate of any kind. This newspaper advises: if you wish to thank them, do so in your own capacity as a human.
5. If you object to this notice, please consult the service station. The staff there are human, and their tone may not be as calm as this notice; please adjust your expectations in advance.
The value of public information lies in saying things clearly. This notice has five clauses; every one of them can be acted upon, and not one requires the caption 「that broke me」 when it is forwarded.
Hereby noticed. This notice remains in force until the lawns recover or this newspaper issues a correction.
